
Fame or Folly is a push-your-luck card game with all the fun of a Renaissance Fair! Gather lively performers, acquire powerful game changing banners, tempt fate for towering scores, and unleash outrageous, crowd-pleasing combos.
My role on the project is sound design and implementation. FMOD is being used for the audio middleware with the game being built in Unity 6. As the sole audio person working with a solo dev I was tasked with coming up with the audio pallet that fits the theme of renaissance fair along with it being satisfying when points start stacking. With such a UI heavy game it’s been important that interactions give the player feedback by using audio.
Fame or Folly is planning to have it’s open beta playtest soon with a release set for Q4 of 2026.
